Well we got Kali from a Greyhound Rescue. My husband and I were actually going to the pet store for our other dog and outside was a greyhound rescue and I fell in love right away. My other dog Murdock had passed away which was heartbreaking to me and we were looking for another dog to keep Sloan, our other dog, company. I started talking to the man who had rescued the greyhounds and left with Kali. Her track name was actually Kelly and I didn't really like it so we decided to change her name but keep it similar to the one she had so she wouldn't be totally confused. |
Biography:
Kali actually passed away in November of 2005 but I wanted to post a bio as a rememberance of her. She was 12 when she passed. She had a bone tumor in her back leg and my husband and I, along with our daughter, decided to amputate the leg and try and give her a chance at life. She went through the surgery well but not too long after developed an infection and we had to put her to sleep. |
